Yale University Press has announced a Chinese language publication of Maury’s The Stratification of Music Rhythm initially published in New Haven - which explicates his unique theory of meter and develops methods of analysis of both tonal and non-tonal compositional structures on the basis of interacting levels of motion. It will be published for the first time in paperback, in conjunction with Shanghai Conservatory of Music Press Co., Ltd. for distribution throughout mainland China.
