EMK’S SHOW OPENED MARCH 17

NEW production stars Super Junior’s Kyuhyun alternating the role with three other actors, Park Eun-tae, Kai and Jeon Dong-seok. It’s Kyuhyun’s first attempt to play the Phantom, unlike the other three actors who have taken on the role in previous productions.

Based on Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel “The Phantom of the Opera,” the Musical premiered in 1991, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Arthur Kopit. Both the international version and the Korean production of the musical have been much loved by Korea’s Phantom fans. The first Korean production premiered brilliantly in 2015 featuring the great Park Hyo Shin, and returned with another triumph again in 2018.

The upcoming Korean production of “Musical Phantom” is making a return for the first time in three years. It will kick off on March 17 at the Charlotte Theater in southern Seoul.
